My practice specializes in psychodynamic therapy with men working through family-of-origin issues, relational patterns, and questions of identity and desire. I also work extensively with young adults navigating the formation of authentic selfhood in a world that often pressures them toward optimization and performance.
I'm trained in psychodynamic theory and practice, completed a two-year fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and supervise clinical trainees at the Wright Institute LA. My approach is informed by relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, and a genuine curiosity about the complexities of human sexuality and desire—including kink, non-monogamy, and other expressions that fall outside conventional frameworks.
I believe therapy works best when it's a real relationship, not a sanitized professional interaction. I value directness, humor, and the ability to talk about difficult or taboo subjects without shame or clinical detachment. My goal isn't to fix you or make you more functional by some external standard—it's to help you develop a clearer, more honest relationship with yourself and the life you actually want to live.
