Discover the effectiveness of an experienced body-based therapist for individuals and couples with life and relationship problems. Bonding Psychotherapy incorporates the power of touch and emotional expression to release historic blockages, and liberate energy for personal and relationship growth. This is different from bodywork as there is no massage table in our offices. Together, these modalities help people to release and discover useful emotional material that can be consolidated with the talk therapy. Many people have found that they thrive in relationship structures that stretch beyond what dominant culture deems “traditional.” Exploring sex and sexuality can bring a variety of unique challenges to sense of self and relatoinship. Whether you are in the beginning stages of exploration with a primary partner or you are in an established poly relationship, we can work together to confront vulnerabilities, the dynamics of power and control, and the communication breakdowns that are a part of all relationships. Our therapeutic work can assist in addressing these concerns within the primary couple or your extended relationship structure.
I work with leather/power-exchange sex as one of the varied manifestations of the male soul, focusing on its unique meaning for the man/men involved. It’s my privilege to work as an ally to other men and to the male soul. I take a male-affirmative approach to counseling and therapy, looking to uncover and honor a man’s often unrecognized gifts and accomplishments. Gay or straight (or unlabeled), older or younger, partnered or single, men face a lot of challenges in our lives, and our society complicates them by sending us very mixed messages. We are supposed to be more caring and sensitive and we are also supposed to "man up." The woes of the world are somehow our fault because we’re just too…male. And men who don’t fit the standard model feel like outsiders. All this adds to the confusion when we develop stressful problems with our sexual lives, our jobs, our relationships or our own habits, thoughts and emotions (and yes, men do have emotions!).Having a respectful, thoughtful and confidential ally can help.I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #MFC37350.My basic therapeutic orientation is rooted in the work of CG Jung.

Hello. I help you live the life you truly want. The NLP changework we use is like installing software updates for your brain. How many old outdated programs (from childhood, from parents and society) are still running for you in there? Let’s update the way your brain experiences yourself, your life, and the world. My work is especially good for creating changes around sex and sexuality, including: releasing sexual shame embracing your kinks having more satisfying sexual experiences Sessions are conducted either in person in San Francisco, or remotely by phone or Skype. Hi Everyone, We’re a collective of sex-positive and kink-knowledgeable therapists. We do individual therapy, couples therapy, sex therapy, and psychotherapy with erotic minority people (i.e. kinky people, poly families, etc.). Each clinician has a different level of experience, making us a well-rounded group of professionals. We’re the only kinky therapists in the Coachella Valley and we have the only AASECT-certified Sex Therapist in the desert. Our specialties include: negotiating kink and poly boundaries, and discovering your kink identity. Dr. Winston Wilde, LMFT (MFC39060) and AASECT-certified Sex Therapist Nina Ruedas, MFT Registered Intern (IMF67572) Ryan Rickert, LMFT (MFC49703) Terry Cummings, LCSW (14741)
Indigo Mental Health is an open and affirming psychotherapy practice welcoming the diversity of the Seattle community. I have experience counseling and supporting the specific needs of adults, families and young adults with compassion and a deep respect for the unique experiences that color our lives.I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, trained to provide in-depth psychotherapy, specialized in treating clients experiencing sexual issues, as well as being experienced in working with the poly, sex positive, and kink communities. Many of us have worked through the coming out process, found our authentic sexual expressions, and are comfortable with our sexual orientation and gender identity. However, we often remain concerned about professionals who may not be accepting or culturally aware. I provide a warm and supportive environment for those who are kinky, polyamorous, identify as sex positive, or as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersexed and questioning. It is my desire to create an environment that can help you to address and recover from emotional issues while affirming your unique identity.
Now accepting new Skype and phone clients! Being an out queer&trans politicized healer means that I adamantly believe that pathology and healing are completely contradictory. Finding a new therapist who is the right fit can be tricky. Finding a new therapist who you don’t have to educate on your identity, your relationship, your life experience or the various institutions that impact your life can be near impossible. You live amidst family and community practices, public and private institutions and broader social norms that support and perpetuate violence and domination. Isn’t it critical to have a healer who has a deep analysis of the ways those practices, institutions and norms operate and what it takes to heal within them? As a somatic healer, I use the body because I think it can make us infinitely more successful at changing engrained patterns. Often times as brilliant smart humans, we can describe our own life histories and stumbling blocks to precise detail. Sometimes we can even describe the things we want to be doing instead. However changing patterns and creating new practices seems completely out of reach. For people who survived trauma and oppression, centering our work in the body will also give you information about how to live in the present moment. You will build capacity to recover from hardwired survival strategies like fight, flight, freeze that often put the needs for safety and survival at odds with the needs for connection. You will never be able to think your way out of trauma but the body gives us other strategies to build tools to access safety and connection. Sustainable relevant healing becomes possible and attainable.
Tried counseling and felt disappointed, frustrated, and/or misunderstood? Does the idea of "being in therapy" not appeal to you? There is another way: Personal Development Mentoring. Personal Development Mentoring is a peer-mentoring process that takes the judgment out of the interaction completely by focusing on what you want your life to be like, then figuring out how to get there. All in the comfort of your own home (or a private space in a public library, if you aren’t comfortable meeting in your home). In addition, the Personal Development Mentor is available by phone, email, and/or text for consultation outside of the weekly session, when you need help most–in the moment of one of your life’s challenges. Personal Development Mentoring emphasizes a non-judgmental, natural-consequences approach, which can help an individual recognize, evaluate, and change the thoughts that lead to goal-impeding behavior. While Personal Development Mentoring has its basis in cognitive-behavior therapy, the method is both less than and more than traditional counseling/therapy, and helps you find new ways of achieving the life you want to live by looking at things from a different perspective, and, thus, seeing a new path to build that life. Not counseling. Not therapy. Real help–without judgment–that works. Gretchen Alder, founder and practitioner of Personal Development Mentoring, has been exploring this method of helping people for the past seven years, and has a wide variety of success stories of the benefit of Personal Development Mentoring. She has earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2001, Certification in Alcohol and Other Drug Counseling from the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Certification Association in 2011, and a Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2012. Her experience working in the social services field motivated her to develop Personal Development Mentoring, which she describes as “not walking ahead of you and pulling you; not walking behind you and pushing you; but walking beside you and pointing out things you might not see along the way.” She uses both her education and personal life experience–within and outside of the LGBTQ, Kink, Swinger, and Polyamory communities–to act as a mentor for those who are finding life’s challenges to be overwhelming. New Mind Paradigm is the non-profit organization that supports both the research and practice of Personal Development Mentoring. Its unique donation-only system is structured to help those in greatest need regardless of ability to pay; as such it bills no insurance organizations, but accepts donations from those it serves and from the general public. Interested? Send an email to email@example.com to set up a 30-minute consultation.

With Shanna as your sex coach and relationship counselor, you have someone who is able to help you explore, define and embrace your sexuality in a safe, open-minded, shame-free, affirming environment. Whether you are trying to process your gender and/or sexual identity, understand some of your desires, communicate your wants and needs to your partner (s), try something new to spice up your love life, or adapt to new/challenging situations, Shanna can help. Not only is she a board certified sexologist with her Master’s in Human Sexuality, and is a member of AASECT (the American Association of Sex Educators,Counselors and Therapists) and SSSS (the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality), but she also has numerous resources on hand. From books and videos to connections with sexuality educators and therapists all over the world, she is excited to work with you (with or without your partner/s) to help you explore your sexuality, and become more comfortable in your own skin. Being comfortable with your own sexuality isn’t always that easy. Add a partner (or more) into the picture, and suddenly, sex and sexuality can become scary and daunting. With someone to help answer questions, suggest activities, and hear our experiences, you can take control of your sexuality and improve your relationships. Shanna is inclusive and friendly to people of ALL sexualities, including those who identify as kinky, polyamorous, non-monogamous, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, androgynous, intersex, people with disabilities, etc. Who can use sex coaching and relationship counseling: *Anyone looking to explore their sexuality *Folks who want to learn how to flirt and/or interact with those who attract them *People dealing with new relationships, relationship loss, family judgment, orientation/gender exploration, kink interests, etc. *Those looking at exploring (or involved in) a poly or consensually non-monogamous relationship(s) *Couples (and triads/groups) in relationships, looking to strengthen their relationships and add new skills to their sexual tool box *Those going through the aging process, looking to figure out what their sexuality looks like during this period *Someone who is trying to figure out if they are kinky, queer, poly, straight, monogamous, vanilla, curious, etc. *Anyone wanting to rekindle intimacy and sensuality in their relationship(s) *Pretty much anyone! Sex coaching and relationship counseling can take place in the privacy of your own home, or in a neutral place decided upon where you feel comfortable. Shanna also has an office in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver if you’d prefer an in-office session. This is not therapy per se (although Shanna has experience and knowledge in that field as well), but more of looking inside, and figuring out what fits YOU the best, and discovering who you really are,in order to help you make the most of your sexuality, and your relationships. She is also far more affordable than most sex therapists, granting access to a much larger demographic, offering sessions in person, on the phone or via Skype. ALL sessions are sliding scale; she asks that you pay what you can afford in order to keep it accessible for everyone.

My Approach to Counseling and Therapy:
For many of us, finding help (or even asking for it) isn’t easy. Whatever your reasons for pursuing counseling/ therapy, my goal is to collaborate with you on the path to wellness and fulfillment. I want to help you lead a life that feels nourishing, however you define that for yourself.
I do not take insurance and thus clients must pay “out of pocket,” but I am dedicated to accessibility of services. Thus I work with clients to figure out a payment scale, system, and schedule that can respect all our needs.
Just like there are many kinds of clients, there are many kinds of therapeutic styles. My mission is for us to find something that works well given your needs. I also have experience integrating various tools, like creative writing, into sessions. Regardless of “modality,” I mediate difficult questions and complex topics with warmth, creativity, and humor. If you wanted someone to just talk at you instead of with you, you’d probably be looking for a lecturer instead of a social worker!
My Training and Background:
I’m trained as a social worker, sexuality educator, and nonprofit manager. While I pursue my LICSW, I am working under clinical supervision. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, with firm roots in various kinds of activism, my identity as a queer Latinx informs all of the work I do. The “liberation health” model serves as a foundation for my clinical thinking so we look at personal, cultural, and institutional factors when addressing your concerns.
I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from Boston University and my prior academic training took place at Brown University, where I received a B.A. in Gender and Sexuality Studies. For more information about my background, activism, and the work I do outside of The Meeting Point, you can visit my website at www.aidamanduley.com.
Core Areas of Work:
Couples and/or relationship therapy, anxiety, stress, depression, bipolar, end of life, aging, polyamory & non-monogamy in general, life transitions, trauma/PTSD [with strong background in domestic and sexual violence], and gender + sexuality [e.g. questioning gender/orientation, HIV/AIDS status, coming out, sexual health concerns, navigating new relationships, exploring kink/BDSM, sex worker], non-mainstream spiritualities.
My approach to treatment is informed by multicultural counseling principles and by existential/humanistic philosophy, which suggests that all people are searching for meaning in their lives and aspire to feel connected to others, while struggling with feeling alone in the world. Feeling isolated in mainstream society can be particularly poignant for people who have lifestyle D/s relationships or leather families. I have worked with clients from diverse racial and ethnic groups, from various socioeconomic circumstances, of different ages and sexual and gender identities. I provide affirming support while challenging clients to identify obstacles to the realization of their potential. My office is conveniently located in Union Square; I offer affordable rates and a sliding scale application for clients in financial need. I specialize in working with clients who identify as transgender, HIV+ or bisexual, those involved in BDSM, kinky, or polyamorous relationships, and any clients struggling with depression, anxiety, or life adjustments (aging, career change, bereavement). I appreciate working with clients who have a desire to achieve or maintain recovery from substances, sex, pornography, or codependent relationships, as I have personal experience with recovery. I believe that each of us has the capacity to change and that altering patterns of self-destructive behavior enables us to create lives that are more free and fulfilling. As a researcher, I have given presentations and workshops on BDSM and kink-affirmative counseling at conferences sponsored by the American Psychological Association, New York Mental Health Counselors Association, and Pace University.
Eve is an Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapist experienced in GSRD, LGBTQIA+, QITPoC, Alt, Swinging, Poly, Ethical Non-Monogamies, Sex Work, Fetish, Kink, BDSM, sexuality, gender and relationship identity. Founding Co-Director of SexProfs an organisation borne from the dual identity of sex work and therapists. To challenge assumptions about those with different life experiences, increase training opportunities, bridge the gap between practitioners and the outside world, and provide support for those, both clients and practitioners who have experienced prejudice at the hands of conventional therapy. Eve is a CorporateTrainer, CourseDesigner, Charity Role Model, involved in the Pride movement and Coordinator of an LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Charity. I work with and individuals and couples in perosn and via video who may find that traditional therapists are not suited or particularly understanding of their needs. Recent projects include designing and delivering courses to government agencies and private corporations on LGBTQIA+ mental health awareness. Any sexuality or gender identity that you self identify as will very rarely be the subject of any therapy and it is merely that you are reassured that if it is raised during the course of therapy then it is something I am totally capable and knowledgeable about to explore with you if so desired. The people that I work with may not only experience situations unique to their identities but also may require unique solutions to those issues. This is the reason that I title myself integrative, this simply means that unlike some I do not stick to one modality but have the adaptability to create those unique to each client. In this recognition that a one size fits all approach does not exist within GSRD, it gives me the therapeutic freedom to be as unique as you are. Her specialisations include, writing for publications, media work, cultural appropriation, independent diversity consulting, terminologies, intersectionality, Mental Health Awareness and PoC issues. She has a special interest in the intersectionality of therapeutic/social boundaries, formulating policies where therapist and client belong to the same community. Amongstregularpresenting at various conferences and mental health events, Eve alsoappeared on a paneldiscussingher intersectionalites at the Pink Therapy Sex Works Conference in 2018.
Too often within health care (and the world at large!), certain bodies are prioritized while others are left feeling unsafe, unseen, and unwelcome due to insidious tactics ranging from unspoken stigmas about which bodies are valuable and deserving of good health, to overt physical barriers to access. As our bodies are politicized, so too is our care of them; it is my intention to create and hold a radically inclusive, body positive, individually empowering space for all.
I chose bodywork as a profession after receiving a bachelors degree in sociology and quickly realizing that the work I was best suited for was helping people through direct action rather than policy. Thus in 2006, upon graduating from Baltimore School of Massage, began my practice as a massage therapist. The following year, I started school at Tri-State College of Acupuncture and graduated in 2010 with a masters degree and license to practice acupuncture. Social justice will always be the lens through which I approach the world; I am actively involved in the ongoing and vital work toward reproductive justice, queer/trans rights, and anti-racism as a non-BIPOC ally of Black Lives Matter and the Movement for Black Lives and am always thrilled to serve as a resource for folks looking for ways to get involved.
Clinically, my approach to practice is generalized; I am happy to work with folks with all sorts of conditions, from chronic disease such as Lyme to athletic maintenance and pain management to gastrointestinal dysfunction to sexual/reproductive health for all genders.

I believe that safety and confidentiality are of utmost importance in successful psychotherapy. When trust is developed, people can explore more deeply and clearly the current issues that distress them. I also believe that most people can find ways to feel better, to become more content in their lives. But I also know that change is hard for us all. Once we have developed certain coping skills that have helped us to survive, those patterns may be very difficult to change. But, when we gain a better understanding about why or how they developed, we can become more freed up to new and different choices that help us even more during the present time. Emotional satisfaction can also be found even as the change process is happening. My job is to help facilitate that change. I don’t have all the answers but believe that together, we can find creative and lasting solutions to age old problems and stresses.

I am passionate about the work I do with clients and consider each client my teacher. I feel honored to hear their stories.
I am committed to working with populations that by virtue of their gender identity, race, social status, sexual orientations, and diverse life experiences have been subjected to profound lessened life chances that carry with them substantial trauma. It is clients with multiple and complex traumas that I am most invested in helping find balance and self-efficacy. These include: transgender and genderqueer clients; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer clients; Native clients and clients of color; those with complex trauma (including military/war, sexual trauma including childhood sexual abuse); Native clients subjected to ongoing state, colonial, and gender violence; those struggling with dissociative disorders; clients in need of healthy sexuality support (including fetishes, kinks, BDSM, leather community, sex therapy, both with individuals and couples); those with anxiety disorders; clients with chronic illnesses that need help finding acceptance; and those with phase of life problems.
My professional training includes EMDR and as well as training in couples counseling, substance abuse, and motivational interviewing. I also have advanced sexuality training and I can provide sex therapy and sex education to clients. I have a special focus on helping to heal the intersections of sexuality, identity, and trauma where so many of us have been hurt.
I view psychotherapy, first and foremost, as a partnership between therapist and client. As a psychotherapist conducting a Fellowship at the Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy, one of my focuses is working with individuals who identify as members of the LGBTQAI+ community and/or are involved in non-traditional relationships.
The foundation of my work is psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means that all the factors and experiences that have led you to where you are now—both conscious and unconscious—are considered. Additionally, my approach is integrative, interweaving different modalities such as mindfulness-based practices and Dialectical Based Therapy (DBT) to address my clients’ unique goals. My clinical interests also include helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorders, and spiritual concerns.

The Birth Haven at LifeSpring Midwifery Offering midwifery, water birth, and well-woman care. Our Mission Statement Our mission is to provide quality midwifery care to women and infants, a place for building community for families, education on healthy living, and serve as a training facility for other midwives to be educated and create more opportunities for these same things to be made available in their communities. Our Philosophy Our philosophy is that women are capable and strong; that their bodies are capable and strong; that pregnancy and birth is a well-tuned process; that we are the end result of countless generations of successful births and we have inherited this as our birthright from our foremothers; that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is a closed system and introducing interference in this system introduces risk; that midwives work first and foremost for the woman and her baby; that a high touch, low tech approach is usually the safest for the woman and her baby; and that a woman can be given all the benefits and risks and accept what is best for herself and her family.

I help people with alternative sexualities who feel alone, abnormal, and unlovable. I show them how to accept themselves in their beauty and strength, so they can experience loving connection in their lives. I’m a Certified Rubenfeld Synergist, which means I use a combination of talk, touch, and movement to work with you as a whole person – not just a brain, but a body, heart, and spirit. Rubenfeld Synergy Method uses the body as its main source of information and healing. By getting you in conversation with your body, I can help you to discover the habits that are holding you back, the stories you tell yourself that keep you stuck, and the pathway to different possibilities in your life. Release trauma, get relief from chronic pain, befriend your body and find the love and the life you deserve!
Birth is a process. Birth is normal. Birth is political. Birth is beautiful. The phrase ‘bread and roses’ comes from a 1912 textile strike in which Rose Schneiderman cried “The worker must have bread, but she must have roses, too.” This phrase has been used for over a century by feminists and activists, meaning that we want our sustenance but we also want beauty and we want both without compromise. Midwifery is the fight for autonomy over normal life processes, specifically during the childbearing years. The universal midwifery tradition is to build practices based on reciprocity, continuity of care, consent, and support. Midwives work to maintain natural life cycles through community-based knowledge and love. We labor for access to safer options and better outcomes with self determination over our own bodies and communities. We take a holistic view of family through a social context, and work to create open and dynamic spaces and roles for ourselves and each other. This must include continuing education, expertise in counseling, and playing supportive roles during normal, healthy, and safe childbirth experiences. This is the struggle of midwifery. “Yes, it is bread we fight for, but we fight for roses too.”
My practice welcomes all and uses a combination of breathing exercises and discussion to help you meet your goals. There are some exciting studies showing that there are very specific body responses and changes that come with using the breath as a practice. I like to say this is a way to get "out of your head and into your body".Topics seen in session range from a desire to relax to understanding repeating patters, to trauma work, to after-care following a scene.Men of all ages working on personal growth and understanding are most welcome here. There is no judgement, just a safe space to learn and explore.I would love to hear from you.PeaceDavid

Are you wondering about massage? Give it a try! It can be so helpful!
After a serious car accident many years ago, I saw a massage therapist who was able to restore function and sustainably reduce the severe chronic pain I experienced from my injuries. Those transformative results, combined with my natural inclination to help others, made moving from my first career to this one an easy transition. Upon graduating an 1,100 hour program with honors in 2009, I began practicing massage in Seattle and maintained both a solo practice, and several positions in multi-disciplinary clinics throughout the area. I also studied under and maintain friendships with several of my massage mentors to this day.
At the beginning of 2015, I relocated to New Orleans. Since the beginning, most of my practice has been specializing in injury treatment, orthopedic and clinical massage. I have worked with all kinds of practitioners in the healthcare field, from physicians, nurses and orthopedic specialists, to physical and occupational therapists and chiropractors, and strive to be the comforting bridge between my clients and their occasionally overwhelming healthcare.
Along with ordinary tension, headaches and strain, other conditions I have experience treating include: fibromyalgia; Sjogren’s syndrome; Parkinson’s; lupus; MS; arthritis; joint repair/replacement; spondylosis and other degenerative conditions; stroke-induced hemiplegia; spinal fusions; fractures and post-operative scarring and mobilization; cancer and peri/post chemotherapy; thoracic outlet syndrome; and TMJ. I also welcome and aim to support clients who may be managing the various physical side effects that come with transitioning and/or hormone modifications.
My primary approach to massage is from a treatment standpoint, but each session is typically a mixture of modalities. I’ve had post-certification training for various orthopedic applications, injury treatment, craniosacral, structural relief therapy, visceral manipulation, and massage cupping. Since 2009, I have been a member of and insured through Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Please reach out if you have any curiosity regarding me or my practice. I’d love to talk with you about any thoughts you have regarding bodywork that may benefit your current situation.

I have experience working with monogamous and poly relationships, as well as both straight and LBGT+ people.
Individual work is core to my practice. I work with adults, adolescents and families. Together we can explore whatever you feel to be disturbing your experience of life, particularly depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, spiritual and creative blocks, illness, childhood abuse, trauma or issues related to sexuality, gender expression, and intimacy. In working with couples, I assist my clients in their exploration of relationship. I work with intimate partners, siblings and friendship pairs. I am particularly drawn towards working with couples who are in the process of changing the way they experience relationship, whether that change is one of coming together, or moving apart. I have a broad definition of family, ranging from the traditional nuclear family to families of choice and nontraditional configuration. I can assist you in exploring the patterns that sometimes interfere with the healthy functioning of the family system. I also work with groups, some short term, and others long term. Please inquire for further information about newly forming groups, and groups open to new members. License No. MFC 105894
I work with clients and teach hypnosis across the globe. I work with clients to help them overcome a wide range of issues and challenges. I work from an ethos that labels are unhelpful, challenges come in many forms and there is always a way forward. My job is to help people overcome their personal challenges, to provide the tools to help them to do that and support as the changes are made. I have extensive experience working with the kink community with sexual and non sexual issues and also work in the field of sexual enhancement. Sessions can be conducted via Skype and are of course confidential, all therapy is without assumption or judgement.
Sex Coaching for individuals or couples of a BDSM orientation and/or lifestyle. Very familiar and open to coaching members of the community. Also as a clinical sexologist my training is vast and my practice embraces any type of erotic/sexual diversity. Also offer professional training to clinicians and aspiring sex coaches through Sex Coach University worldwide. Offer coaching sessions in person and by Zoom or phone. Talk only. My mantra is “Celebrate your sexual self” and I would lay down my own life for sexual freedom, including the right to express our kinky sides.
No one should have to hide who they are when seeing a therapist. How can we talk about our relationships if we hide the kink, the queer, or the poly? How can we talk about life transitions if we hide our orientation or gender? I love who I am, and I love who you are. I specialize in working with people who are struggling with relationships, depression, anxiety, or life’s big changes. But because I’ve seen firsthand how much pain can be caused by counselors who aren’t aware/friendly, I especially enjoy working with people who identify as any of the following: kinky, poly, queer, trans, interesex, or who simply refuse to be labeled in any way. I am easy to work with, non-judgemental, and authentic. I do take some insurance and EAP’s. Privacy and discretion guaranteed. I do have the ability for video therapy that is like Skype, but does a better job of protecting your privacy.
