I approach therapy from a holistic and trauma-informed lens, utilizing emotion-focused, body-based, mindfulness-informed modalities as well as more traditional therapeutic approaches like psychodynamic and CBT (cognitive-behavioral).
Business Description
I specialize in working with issues of complex and adulthood trauma, sexual violence and domestic violence, LGBTQ+ populations, substance use and addiction, alternative sexualities such as polyamory/non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, and sex work. I also believe that forms of social oppression such as racism, sexism, ableism, heterosexism, and so on, operate as traumas and stressors as well and thus, are of clinical concern as barriers to wellness. My practice is grounded in the principles of non-judgment, positive regard, harm reduction, and compassion. I earned my Masters in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
