Hi! I’m Christina Peterson, LICSW, a queer clinical social worker and co-founder of Mountain View Therapy, LLC. I provide virtual therapy throughout Massachusetts. I work mainly with queer, trans, and polyamorous/non-monogamous folks, as well as people in kink communities, and I see teens and adults, individuals, couples/partners, and families.
People come to me for support with anxiety, depression, gender and sexual identity, coming out, and navigating relationships of all structures, including opening a relationship, jealousy, and communication. I also help folks work through shame and stigma around their identities, desires, and relationships.
I practice from a Narrative Therapy approach: the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. Our society often tells people that their relationships or sexuality are the problem, but I believe your relationships, desires, and identities should not be pathologized. I help people stand up to those limiting stories and live out the lives and values they prefer.
I also spend a lot of my time training and supervising new clinicians in affirming care for queer, trans, poly, non-monogamous, and kinky folks. Mountain View Therapy accepts many commercial and MassHealth plans. I currently have a waitlist; please reach out at referrals@mountainviewtherapyma.com or 508-571-8266, or visit www.mountainviewtherapyma.com if you’re interested in joining it or working with one of our other clinicians.
