About me: I graduated from St. Edward's University with a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.A. in Counseling with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling. In addition, I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Acudetox Specialist. I am currently accepting new clients (Spring 2019.) Treatment philosophy: My counseling style is warm, empathetic, integrative, pragmatic and client-based. I believe that a therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one in which my clients and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insight to help them learn new way to cope with challenges and struggles. I have experience counseling adults, families and couples coping with grief, trauma, addiction, existentialism, LGBTQ concerns, sexuality and recovery. My work draws its influence from the counseling theories and styles of Carl Rogers, Virginia Satir and Murray Bowen.
