In addition to working with couples, partners, and families, I work with individuals to resolve past traumas and cope with current stresses. I do this by means of skills groups and somatically-based trauma therapy. My skills groups cover: emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Somatically-based trauma therapy relies upon the innate wisdom of the body to process stuck traumatic responses, whether they are generating "cold" depressive or dissociative symptoms on the one hand, "hot" anxiety or aggressive symptoms on the other, or even both at once.
