Julia received her Master's in Social Work from Hunter College. She is currently a Licensed Master of Social Work and is pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Work certification. During her time in school, she worked with the LGBTQIA+, kink, non-monogamous, and sex work communities in both therapeutic and advocacy capacities. She plans to pursue further education to become a sex therapist.
Julia uses a client-centered approach that focuses on the relationship between the clinician and client. She uses tools from relational therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy in addition to Mentalization-Based Treatment. She works with clients on a range of issues including depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.
