I work to build a genuine relationship with my clients, emphasizing teamwork and encouraging your active participation in the counseling process. I trust you as the 'expert' with the lived experience to help identify realistic solutions to life's challenges. I will help you harness your inner strengths and develop self-compassion, while instilling hope and confidence to overcome the obstacles impacting your personal growth, health & wellness, and life fulfillment.
I am especially passionate about helping folks overcome obstacles to sexual pleasure. I am kink and poly affirming. I bring training and expertise on sexual intimacy and desire; sexual functioning; and sexually compulsive behavior, and offer informed consent letters for trans* and gender non-conforming folks as desired.
I believe it's important to acknowledge and validate the power dynamics, political events, and cultural complexities that impact folks differently based on identity and experience. As your therapist, I will take ongoing accountability for my own experiences as a white, gay, cisgender man, and will encourage your questions while working to earn your trust.
