I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working in clinical mental health for several years. I have also been working in mental health research, program development, and evaluation for the better part of 20 years.
I am a heteroflexible, sex-positive, relationship anarchist and I work with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, including individuals from queer, CNM, and kink communities, and people who identify across the gender spectrum. I offer both short and long-term therapy and counseling to help individuals, couples, and groups in alternative relationship structures who want to explore issues associated with their orientation or lifestyle. I also enjoy working with clients on: anxiety, dating & forming relationships, intercultural relationships, inherited trauma, relational trauma, Highly Sensitive Persons (Sensory Processing Sensitivity), giftedness, perfectionism & Imposter Syndrome, shame & self-image, minority stress & the effects of stigma & discrimination (particularly size, ethnicity, introversion, and gender, sexual, and relationship diversity), and aging including perimenopause & end-of-life issues.
I work by telehealth only, with clients throughout California. I am an active therapist with a coaching style - I will ask questions, challenge assumptions, offer different perspectives, and, when you're ready, help you to leave your comfort zone and make meaningful changes in your life. I will consider coaching people outside of California if appropriate. I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation to make sure we are a good fit.
