I use a nonjudgmental approach that looks at the role emotions and behaviours play in the lives of individuals and relationships to see if they are helpful or if they are causing issues. I want to look at issues holistically and see them in the context of your life so we can understand their function and find a way forward that works best for you. I view mental health or addiction symptoms as protective mechanisms that have developed as an adaptation to stressors or life events.
I enjoy working with people in the following areas:
- Addictions, anxiety, psychosis (i.e. bipolar, schizophrenia), stress
- Boundaries, communication, difficulty with emotions, people pleasing, self-esteem and self-worth, wellness
- Intimacy and exploring pleasure, sexual communication or navigating consent, sexual health and wellness, sexual pleasure and values or identities
- Relationship concerns, Non-monogamy
