I am a non-binary, mentally ill, Taiwanese immigrant. My journey as a therapist is guided by lived experience and a strong commitment to justice.
I have worked with toddlers, teenagers, and adults from all walks of life since 2016. My expertise lies in working with people living with complex trauma and substance use. I am also in community with kinksters and sex worker and am equipped to discuss non-monogamy, relationships involving power exchange (e.g., sub/dom dynamics), and fetish related matters.
I am also a radical left abolitionist and believe the personal is political. I seek to provide a safe(r) space for the people by doing my own work and centering those whose experiences I do not share due to the hierarchy of oppression.
You may feel like, no matter what life blocks are on the surface, it always goes back to the deep wound you have been living with. We will hold hands through a lot of learning and unlearning. At the same breath, your trauma does not have to be the center of our sessions, and you will never be forced to dig deeper or relive them.
With a strength-based and direct approach, My practice is drawn from multiple theories: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I am also trained to provide Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT). My sessions look different with toddlers, teenagers, and adults. During the consultation, we will discuss more in-depth to determine if I will be a good fit for you.
Ultimately, I am invested in supporting others to live beyond survival — to find contentment in being human.
