Hi! I am a licensed psychologist in Michigan with an office in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor. I am queer and a member of the kink and poly communities. I bring a breadth of clinical experience, as well as lived experience.
I know this process can be daunting, but therapy is truly one of the best investments you can make in yourself. It’s vital to self-development and to overcome patterns and outcomes we wish would be different.
You might want to know a little bit about how I do things before you reach out. I view our work through a lens of identity, community, trauma-responsiveness, relationship, and sexual multiculturalism. This means I consider how our various social identities and locations, mental health, and behaviors exist within multiple levels of self and are impacted by the communities we are a part of. Through psychoanalytic, feminist, and social justice lenses, I generally work with a variety of individuals who feel like they’ve been “outliers,” “outcasts,” or otherwise operating on the extreme margins in life. I’m fiercely passionate about understanding, advocating, and having compassion for one’s self, while helping to build a sense of community that supports who you are as a uniquely awesome human. I also have training in forensic psychology and neuropsychological assessment, which comes in handy often, and am informed by interpersonal/relational neurobiology.
Please visit my website profile for a lot more detailed information about current services, upcoming services, trainings, and rates.
