Deanna Enders-Byers

Hello, My pronouns are they/them. I seek to align my approach with my values, which is why I work to provide anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, intersectional, trauma-informed, trans and gender-diverse informed, poly-friendly, kink-aware, collaborative and person-centered counselling services.

My counselling approach is Integrative based on my training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, DBT for CPTSD, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, and Motivational Interviewing.

In addition, I bring my interest in Intersectionality, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and body-oriented therapy to my work. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for several years in community-based anti-violence services. I have experience supporting people with: domestic violence/assault, homelessness, and substance use.

I have helped people dealing with life challenges linked to living with anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions/emotional regulation difficulties, and neurodivergence. Additionally, I have experience supporting people in alternative relationship structures, including polyamorous, TPE, D/s, and ethical non-monogamy.
