My name is Chris, and I am a queer, nonbinary, Master’s-level student therapist living in Houston, TX. I’ve lived throughout southeast Texas all my life, and I enjoy listening to audiobooks, playing video games, and spending time with my husband and our cats.
I am committed to providing an open and welcoming space for marginalized individuals, including LGBTQ+ folks and BIPOC. I will be an especially good fit for anyone navigating concerns with sexuality, identity, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationships. I have a special fondness for working with people in non-traditional relationships and family systems. There are a thousand different ways to connect with the meaningful people in our lives, and I look forward to learning about your unique relationship constellation.
I take an integrative, person-centered approach to counseling, drawing from therapeutic modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), and positive psychology. Overall, I’m interested in the ways we talk to ourselves, finding solutions that work, and learning how to live and grow past the hurts in our lives that aren’t easily fixed. My goal is to learn from everyone I meet, make room for “complicated,” listen first, and judge never.
I am able to see virtual clients living anywhere in Texas, and in-person clients in Northwest Houston. I am a student therapist under supervision by Sarah Rodriguez,
