Soma Connection Chiropractic is a queer-owned, trauma-informed somatic chiropractic practice in Oakland, California. I work with people who are looking for more than a quick fix and want to understand the deeper patterns their bodies may still be holding from stress, injury, trauma, and lived experience.
My approach combines gentle chiropractic care with Bio-Geometric Integration, visceral manipulation, craniosacral and osteopathic work, ScarWork, BoneWork, soft-tissue work, and other forms of precise, hands-on somatic care. Sessions are guided by close listening to the body and nervous system rather than a standardized protocol.
Many of the people I work with have already spent years in therapy, meditation, bodywork, or other healing practices and are looking for support that helps those insights settle more fully into the body. Others come in for chronic tension, persistent pain, old injuries, scar tissue, stress, or nervous-system overwhelm and stay because the work helps them feel more connected, regulated, and at home in themselves.
The practice is explicitly affirming of queer, trans, kink, polyamorous, and nontraditional relationship structures. You do not need to explain or defend your identity, relationships, sexuality, or way of living in order to receive respectful care. Sessions are consent-centered, body-neutral, and paced with close attention to safety, readiness, and choice.
This is hands-on somatic bodywork and chiropractic care, not talk therapy. You do not need to tell the full story of what you have been through for us to work with the patterns your body is holding. At times, memories or emotions may arise as those patterns begin to shift. When they do, we make space for them while moving slowly and paying attention to whether your system feels safe and ready.
New patients are currently accepted through a waitlist. Private, extended, and community somatic chiropractic sessions are available for established patients.
