Hello! I’m Rachel, and I am a queer psychotherapist trained in clinical social work and trauma-informed care. I specialize in therapy geared towards the LGBTQIA community, with a large focus on self-acceptance and the exploration of identity, as well as depression, anxiety, ADHD, CPTSD/PTSD, and more. I am extremely passionate about trauma-informed therapy and practicing through a social justice lens. Practicing through a social justice lens means that I recognize that many difficulties in life are brought upon by oppression. Working through this lens allows us to recognize when systems have harmed us, and how to cope with and work through them alongside your goals. I believe the process of healing begins in forging safe and accepting relationships.
As a therapist, my goal is to collaborate with you in creating a relationship where you feel heard and understood. In our work together, I will help empower you to reach your goals in a safe, brave, compassion-filled, judgment-free space.
My therapeutic style is dynamic; it's rooted in a perspective of trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive practice, and social justice, and is tailored to your preferences and goals. This means we may incorporate elements of multiple techniques, models and evidence based theories. Together, we will explore any issue regarding your past, present, and future.
