Maryam Obeyd Therapy offers compassionate, kink-aware psychotherapy for adults and relationships throughout California. Maryam works with individuals, couples, and people in diverse relationship structures who want a thoughtful, affirming space to explore sexuality, intimacy, identity, communication, and connection.
Her approach is warm, relational, culturally responsive, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience. She welcomes clients exploring BDSM, kink, consensual nonmonogamy, desire differences, sexual concerns, relationship transitions, shame, trauma, cultural expectations, and the ways identity and systemic oppression can shape intimacy.
Maryam provides individual therapy, couples and relationship therapy, and sex therapy without treating consensual sexual interests or relationship structures as inherently unhealthy. Sessions are available in person in Costa Mesa and Irvine, as well as virtually for clients located throughout California.
