Are you new to therapy or struggling to find the right therapist for you? Knowing that you are safe and supported is one of the best predictors of successful therapy. Choose a therapist who feels authentic and like someone you can trust. I strive to be that therapist, but also specialize in helping people identify the techniques and therapists that work best for them, even if that isn't me. Clients who fit best with me want a therapist with a sense of humor who recognizes and affirms who they are, sees and builds on clients' strengths, and helps clients find their own path forward.
That’s what therapy with me is about: feeling safe and supported in order to bravely look inside, learning how to accept and tolerate what's there, and uncovering our healing power and path forward. If the idea that we have to accept and tolerate what's inside to create effective change seems contradictory, I know! If it seems like an interesting approach, I agree!
