Kameryn “Yams” Rose, LMFT #119932 (he/it) is a Black, neurodivergent, and agender individual part of a growing pool of clinicians who desire to expand the services and support directly available to their communities. He is committed to co-creating a safe space while both modeling and encouraging being oneself in whatever that entails–including challenging internalized prejudices and messages not endemic to our own personal and cultural values.
Yams obtained its Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy at Alliant International University with a certificate in Latin American Family Therapy. He began working with adolescents and their families, where he saw how poorly BIPOC and queer kids were treated within the established systems, with little attempt to provide proper resources and treatment.
Various systems outside of ourselves can influence us without our consent, and finding the tools to write our own story anyway is a strength we can nurture.
