Praktijk Verweven offers sex counseling for men, with a particular focus on men who have sex with men (MSM), kink, BDSM and fetish, and consensual non-monogamy (polyamory, open relationships). Kink and non-traditional relationships are approached as valid expressions of sexuality, not as problems in themselves.
Clients come with sexual complaints such as erection difficulties, differences in desire, coming too fast or with difficulty, or pain at orgasm. Others come with questions about identity, relationships or sexual health, or simply out of curiosity. You don’t need a “problem” to make an appointment. I can also help with reliable sexual health information and finding access to PrEP.
I work integratively, mainly from a psychodynamic way of listening, combined where helpful with elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, schema work, motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based approaches. Sessions take place in Eindhoven or online (video or phone). Sessions with partner(s) are possible.
Praktijk Verweven is a registered care provider in the Netherlands. I work with regular peer review (intervision) and consult a registered sexologist (NVVS) for supervision when needed. Praktijk Verweven does not treat serious mental illness or psychiatric conditions; in those cases I refer you onward.
