I am a Registered Psychologist who has been working in counseling for approximately 13 years and have finally decided to set up self-employment as a KAP/LGBTIQ friendly Psychologist. I have been a part of the kink scene in Perth and Melbourne since about 2000, though I tend to drop in and out, when other parts of my life take priority. I have also worked within the gay community, many years ago, caring for people with an AIDS related illness who chose to die at home. It was the ignorance shown by others towards my clients and also to me that first planted the seed that one day I would provide a safe place for people to see a Psychologist, whether for kink/gender/orientation issues or for other issues such as relationship problems, depresssion, anxiety etc, without having to hide a core part of their being. I am also able to provide a safeplace for littles to come to, and will have some colouring books, soft blankies,and other things that they can use to help them feel comfortable and express themselves in our sessions. CD's/TV's are also welcome to come early if they would like to change into other clothes prior to our appointment. I have worked with people of all ages and have my working with childrens card.

Hi, I'm Rae (they/them) and I'm a trans non-binary and multiple neurodivergent registered supervisor (I avoids using the term ‘clinical’ to describe the supervision work I do, as I prefer to use non-clinical language in my approaches), arts therapist, and psychotherapist with a lived experience of chronic illness. I have white Anglophone privilege and settler privilege. I experience marginalisation due to living in cisgenderist, binary, neurotypical-centred society. I am very passionate about disability rights, the LGBTQIA+ community and mental health. I am vegan and love animals. I also have a sensory garden outside the studio. When working therapeutically, I use person-centred, strengths-based and peer support approaches to assist people to access both their internal and community resources. Dr George Forgan-Smith is a kink / GLBTI friendly doctor based in Melbourne's CBD. Areas of specialist interest include: Sexual health, gay men's health, HIV care and prevention, PrEP, Rapid HIV testing, mens' health, mental health.
