I am a kink aware counsellor in private practice in the Centre of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. As well as working with many common life problems, such as depression, low self esteem, anxiety, relationship difficulties, work related stress and trauma, I provide support and counselling to individuals and couples for whom kink is a part of their lives. Sometimes clients wish the counselling to focus on their kink and questions they may have about how it may be impacting on their life. Other clients may wish to focus on other issues that are not directly related to their sexuality, but because kink is part of their identity, they prefer to work with a kink-knowledgeable therapist. Our premises in Central Sheffield are easily accessible and I can usually see new clients within 14 days of an initial enquiry. Our standard fee is £40 per session, or £50 for couples counselling. Some discounted places are held for those on a low income.

I work with clients and teach hypnosis across the globe. I work with clients to help them overcome a wide range of issues and challenges. I work from an ethos that labels are unhelpful, challenges come in many forms and there is always a way forward. My job is to help people overcome their personal challenges, to provide the tools to help them to do that and support as the changes are made. I have extensive experience working with the kink community with sexual and non sexual issues and also work in the field of sexual enhancement. Sessions can be conducted via Skype and are of course confidential, all therapy is without assumption or judgement.

I hold a Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (1988) BACP Snr Accred Couns/Psychotherapist (accred since 1986) I was made a Fellow of BACP which is their highest award for my "significant contribution to the field". I have been working as a psychotherapist and sex therapist for over 30 years specialising in working with a wide range of gender and sexual diversity clients. I work in a sexuality affirmative manner with a wide range of clients and presenting concerns. I have co-edited three leading British textbooks about work with gender and sexual diversity clients and regularly contribute articles to journals and books. I am CEO of Pink Therapy the largest independent therapy organisation specialising in work with gender and sexual diversities in the UK. My organisation has been involved in training therapists in BDSM/Kink Issues alongside general psychosexual work and I've been facilitating a series of seminars and peer supervision meetings for BDSM/Kink Aware therapists for over four years.
