ABOUT AMANDA MIKLIK COACHING
Wait. You’re a… what now?”
I’m a holistic career coach!
I’ve learned a lot from years of supporting the growth of some of the brightest, most talented doers in the civic tech and social-good sectors. I know that if you want to save the world without collapsing in on yourself like a dying star, you must invest meaningful energy into your own healing and growth.
I can help you do that.
“Amanda is warm, funny, and generally a great person to connect with… they keep me grounded and keep me to my word. I believe that they care about my success.”
Why I coach
I coach because I love it, I’m damn good at it, and it’s one of the things I can do to improve the world.
Yes, I am a career coach but I provide a lot more than just career guidance. I support you as a whole, beautiful human with a complex history and evolving hopes and dreams – not a cover letter and résumé. (But we can definitely work on those, too.)
I firmly believe the concept of “work/life” balance is, pardon my language, bullshit.
“Work” is not something to be balanced outside of life; it’s a large part of it, and it looks different for everyone. Our lives “at work” are inextricably linked from the rest of our existence. I believe that the denial of that interconnectedness can be a damaging product of capitalist, ableist views about our value as human beings. It often means we have to deny something about ourselves in the name of professionalism or productivity.
I’m out to destroy that notion by healing others’ relationships to their work as part of themselves – whatever that looks like. So, that’s where the “holistic” part of my practice comes in.
You can read more about my approach to coaching in my coaching manifesto below.
“Whether you need an empathetic ear after a long week of user research and managing stakeholders, or practicing interview questions for your next job, do yourself a favor and call Amanda – like right now.”
Lilly, Washington, D.C.
Basically, I lovingly push people forward (using custom tools and techniques I’ve developed over the years) so they can define and achieve their dreams while finding balance, joy, and peace in their whole selves.

MY COACHING MANIFESTO
I believe people called to justice will change the world.
I know firsthand it can be scary/overwhelming/[fill in your feels here] to hear that call and figure out how to apply your unique skills to solving the world’s problems.
I am called to coaching because supporting others in this work brings me energy and joy!
I value the practice of coaching and see it as a worthy investment. I take my own medicine; I have my own coach.
Create a life with more happiness, clarity, alignment, mindfulness, and positivity. Creating more love in your life starts with loving yourself. You don’t need to know how to get there, you just need to be open to the possibilities. I create a safe, accepting, non-judgmental environment for you to explore your needs and connect with your best-self. By asking powerful questions I will guide you through self-discovery which will highlight the habits which are holding you back, and empower you to develop your strengths as you overcome your obstacles. The practice of self-awareness and emotional connection will drive you to make decisions of alignment and deepen your sense of fulfillment with your life. Using a holistic view, I take the time to learn about you, your values, and your goals for life. Allowing us to co-create a coaching experience that will be meaningful, empowering, and rewarding. I welcome everyone who is interested in living their best life, but I specialize in providing coaching to individuals with varying sexual and gender identities, including LGBTQ and gender fluid, and I also work with those who identify as kinky, non-monogamous and poly.
Online coaching from professional BDSM educator and former International Mr Leather, John Pendal – either as video calls to individuals and relationship groups, or workshops to larger numbers.
John has 17 years experience teaching BDSM workshops around the world. His life coaching practice helps people who feel like outsiders with any area of their life, both personal and professional. Coaching takes place over video calls, so you can be calling from anywhere in the world.
John is relatable rather than aspirational. During his life John has experienced negative thoughts, gay conversion therapy, coeliac disease, back surgery and identifies as autistic. He has also become the only British winner of the International Mr Leather contest in Chicago and had a ten year career as a stand-up comedian which has taken him around the world.
He wants to help other people, especially those who feel like an outsider. You may feel that way because of your gender or sexuality, neurodiversity, health diagnosis or just a feeling of “not fitting in”. John will listen and ask questions in total confidence and without judgement.
John has helped his clients to discover who they are, what their passions are, find their voice, achieve goals, accept themselves, be happier and change their lives.
