So many of us have been misunderstood, misdiagnosed, written off or viewed as a pathology when all we want is to love in a way that feels good to us, to be with those we are interested in and to practice intimacy in the way that works for our nervous systems, our bodies and our desires.
I’m Chloé, an intimacy and relationship coach and neuroqueer relationship anarchist who is endlessly fascinated by the connection between mind, body and pleasure and the ways our society has repressed that, especially for neurodivergent, queer, non-monogamous, disabled and kinky folx.
As a Certified SomaticaⓇ Sex and Relationship Coach and Somatic Sexologist, I use experiential mind-body practices to help you figure out your desires, boundaries, needs, fantasies, identity, and relationship styles, as well as how to effectively communicate them to yourself and your partners. Through nervous system regulation and relational skills, we approach your particular needs in a way that is embodied, based in neuroscience, and goes at the pace you feel comfortable. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment where you and your body can lead exploration and growth.
I am also certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Polyvagal Yoga for Trauma Healing, and affective neuroscience which allows me to address deeper emotional and physical issues that may impact your intimacy and relationships.
With several years of experience as both a rope bottom and rigger, and decades in kink, I have cultivated a unique understanding of the dynamics involved in playful and alternative intimacy, and I love to share my knowledge and help people explore their passions and desires in a safe(r) container.
Unlike traditional couples therapy or sex therapy, which largely focuses on talk-based sessions, I work through not only conversation, but breath work, movement, play, and relationship practice to give you the tools you need to design your adventure in pleasure, passion and partnership in a way that meets who you are authentically and without judgment. No escalators required.
What is Somanawa?
Somanawa refers to the ‘soma’- or the body, as complementary to and interconnected with the mind; while nawa is the Japanese word for ‘rope’; a representation of the way our vagus nerve is intertwined with our organs and underpins our nervous systems. As a somatic coach, I work to help individuals, couples, polycules and groups address intimacy and relationship challenges by reconnecting with the body.
Somatic coaching sessions include talk and a range of practice-based labbing exercises, movement and embodiment tools. I offer 1:1 and group coaching, as well as workshops, events and retreats.
Areas of specialty include:
