For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of life's most significant transitions. My background has taken me through seemingly unconnected career paths; first responder, higher education, ministry, spiritual direction, professional coaching, and years of education and community work within the kink community.
I also come to this work from within many of the communities I serve. I am neurodivergent, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and a longtime member of kink and poly communities. I know personally how exhausting it can be to enter a helping relationship wondering which parts of yourself will need to be explained, translated, defended, or simply left out.
Story Woven grew from the belief that you shouldn't have to do that.
The roles I have held over the years have changed, but the thread underneath them really hasn't: creating spaces where people can feel heard, respected, and met with curiosity and compassion while they discover their own path forward.
I offer both professional coaching and spiritual companioning for adults navigating change, relationships, identity, grief and loss, disability, questions of meaning or spirituality, and those strange in-between seasons when an old story no longer quite fits but the next one hasn't taken shape yet.
My work is kink-knowledgeable, polyamory/ENM-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in the understanding that the different parts of a person's life do not need to be separated from one another to make other people more comfortable. Sometimes one of those identities or communities is central to what brings you into conversation. Sometimes it has absolutely nothing to do with why you're here. Either way, you don't have to leave part of yourself at the door.
Coaching is a collaborative space for reflection, discovery, and movement. You choose what we explore. I may ask questions, reflect patterns or language I hear, invite another perspective, or offer structure when it is useful. You remain the expert on your own experience and decide what fits, what doesn't, and what—if anything—you want to do next.
Spiritual companioning offers a different kind of space. There does not have to be a goal to accomplish or a problem to solve. We can sit with questions of faith, meaning, belonging, deconstruction and reconstruction, spiritual wounds, changing beliefs, or simply the sense that something within your spiritual life is shifting. You do not need to belong to a particular religion, or any religion to have a spiritual life worth exploring.
I am also a licensed wedding officiant and offer to preside over other lifecycle events. Including End of Life Care, and am happy to work with families who want a ceremony that reflects who they actually are, rather than requiring them to squeeze their relationship, chosen family, spirituality, or community into someone else's template.
At the heart of all of this is something fairly simple: I believe people deserve spaces where they feel safe enough to be vulnerable and where they can show up as whole human beings.
