I am a fully licensed registered and insured massage therapist in the state of NY. I am an active member of my local BDSM/alternative lifestyle scene and professionally trained in several massage modalities. My training and personal experience give me a distinct advantage in helping clients within this lifestyle. I am no stranger to BDSM practices the LGBT community body modification etc. I abide by HIPPA privacy laws and am 100% confidential with all client information. I primarily see clients in my own home but am able to travel to a clients home at additional cost. My rates are a sliding scale based on travel time to a clients home and the length of the massage. I am trained in medical sports Swedish deep tissue and shiatsu (please note I often incorporate Shiatsu work into my Swedish and sports massages but I do not offer shiatsu massage specifically. This work began with a Chicago theater program called The Antigone Project, which translated refugee stories into short plays, in partnership with the University of Chicago's Human Rights Program. I moved to New York City in December of 2001and started arts and theater projects with residents of Lower Manhattan affected by 9/11. Later I directed an organizing program focused on bringing together socially active teens and adults to form new community groups with the goals of building direct democracy and social autonomy in the face of poverty in Crown Heights, The Rockaways, and on Staten Island with Liberian immigrants. I remain committed to social justice and human rights. Discrimination, homophobia, and poverty are corrosive to self-esteem, and cannot be overlooked. The breadth of my experience has greatly improved my skills as a clinician, and I deeply value my current work with people facing challenges related to creative blocks, building ambition, improving their relationships and sexual enjoyment, leaving behind childhood issues, and pushing the limits of what they thought was possible in their lives.
