I have been providing psychotherapy and counseling services for over 25 years and have specialized experience working with a wide range of clients with nontraditional/alternative sexual or relational identities that include kink, polyamory, polyfidelity, LGBTQQI, & BDSM, and nonmonogamy. My approach to psychotherapy is affirming, collaborative and existential, and I incorporate a variety of methods as appropriate, including cognitive-behavioral, process-experiential, narrative and solution-focused strategies. Begin Anew is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) based out of Ramsey, MN, in Anoka County. We are the only organization of this type in the area looking to help heal this community. A Recovery Community Organization (RCO) is an independent, non-profit organization led and governed by representatives of local communities of recovery.

We offer various types of Peer Support (CPRS, CPRSR, CPRS- FE, and CPS) and will serve anyone looking to work on their recovery with a Peer.

In addition, we are one of only a few RCOs in Minnesota that tailor services to justice-impacted individuals. Whether you just got into trouble are currently incarcerated, or are being released from incarceration onto community supervision, we have programs that will "meet you where you are" at every step. All our Peer staff have extensive training and experience working within the different criminal justice systems (County, State, and Federal), and most have lived experience with these systems.
