I see adults only, in both individual and partner sessions. I enjoy working with clients to help them improve the quality of their lives. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and energy medicine techniques to provide a holistic approach to each client's individual needs.

My primary approach to counseling is the person-centered approach. This means I believe that no one knows you better than you do, and it is my job to help you identify goals, develop solutions and coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-esteem, and promote optimal mental health. You are in the driver’s seat, I am just a GPS to help you on the road to better mental health. It’s my job to help you to deal with your issues in a safe, non-judgmental environment, regardless if that environment is in person or via telehealth. More than one in six adults is living with some sort of mental illness and there should be no stigma in seeking help. 

I am eager to work with clients of all types and issues. I have strength with teen and adult ADHD. I also have a specific focus on sexual issues and sexual minorities, not just the LGBTQ+ community, but also those involved in ethical non-monogamy, kink, and other “non-traditional” relationships.

I am a MI Court Certified Mediator/Arbitrator. My training reaches well beyond the typical 40 hour training that most Mediators in MI complete to be "qualified". Having a BS in Comparative Religion, being an open member of the LGBTQ community and living in the Lifestyle, I recognize the value of diversity and tailor my services to meet the needs of the individuals involved. Here are some FAQs about my company. What is Mediation? -Mediation is a process by which a Mediator (neutral party) helps facilitate discussion between parties in conflict to reach an agreement. Why Mediation? -Mediation can cost far less than litigation. Lawyers' fees, filing fees, etc. can add up quickly. In Mediation, a lawyer is not necessary because YOU help to solve the conflict. -Mediation is confidential. No records/transcripts are kept, anything said during the process cannot be used in court. -Often, conflict can be solved in a matter of hours rather than days, months or even years that court cases sometimes take to be heard, let alone ruled on. -You can tell your story more thoroughly than a court room allows. -Many courts in the Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties are ordering cases to try Mediation before taking up the court's time. What can Mediation do for me? -Mediation can help to preserve important relationships that the litigation process can damage ie: Neighbors, business/customer, family relations, etc. -Mediation can also help to find a more customized solution to conflict.
