In my practice, I specialize in working with couples who want to enrich their relationship and improve their understanding of one another. I am a sex-positive and LGBTQI- kink- and poly-friendly therapist. I also counsel individuals from adolescence on up who experience anxiety, shame, and trauma. Women's sexuality is a special focus of mine, and I offer groups focused on that powerful topic.

Madelyn Esposito-Smith, LPC, NCC, CST is a mental health clinician within UW Health Behavioral Health and Recovery. She is a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and completed University of Michigan's Sexual Health Certificate program. Madelyn's clinical focus includes utilizing psychotherapy to address sexual health concerns, as well as issues related to polyamory, paraphilias, or BDSM/kink. She promotes a sex positive and trauma-informed therapeutic practice. Although specialized, Madelyn also provides brief, solution-focused psychotherapy to address more general mental health concerns, such as anxiety or adjustment issues. Madelyn is a LicensedProfessional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin and is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated with her Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University, Chicago, IL, and currently serves on the Adler Alumni Leadership Board.
