Therapy is an incredibly powerful and meaningful process that changes lives and creates huge transformations. It is always a privilege to be present in a person's and couple's journey of understanding, healing, and growth. Although I work with a large variety of individuals and couples, one of my areas of expertise is working with health and sexual traumas. My therapeutic approach focuses on getting to know my patients with compassion, curiosity, and tolerance to be able to see everyone as whole human beings with all of their strengths, beauty, pain, shame, and grief.I am a CA Board of Psychology licensed Clinical Health Psychologist, PSY25919. I have special education, training and experience in working with traumas such as chronic illness, attachment issues, abuse, sexual abuse and assault, combat trauma, and relational trauma.

I welcome those who may not feel as comfortable in all treatment spaces: members of the LGBTQQIAAP communities, gender-creative folks, people wanting to talk about size acceptance, people of color and members of marginalized groups, those in non-traditional/poly relationships, those participating in kink/BDSM practices, iconoclastic artists and activists, Burners and nerds, and everyone else who struggles with how to succeed on this planet without forcing themselves to fit in. I have 16 years of experience as a therapist, and a genuine knack for connecting with people, helping them get unstuck from the patterns that trouble them most. Whether you are wanting to make changes in your habits, need to talk about the connection between inequality and anger, or are struggling with your sense of identity and place in this world, I believe that it's vitally important to feel like your therapist actually gets you. My specialties are addressing alcohol and substance use from a harm reduction perspective, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, social justice conversations, habit change and goal-setting, exploring identity, anger management and conflict resolution, navigating non-traditional relationships, and supporting front-line workers who are at risk for vicarious traumatization. Additionally, I am able to provide clinical supervision for unlicensed mental health professionals and graduate students, and consultation for peers seeking additional assistance.
