I'm a freelance journalist who primarily covers authority, law, and science, though I've dipped my toes into public health as well. As a freelancer, I can ensure potential stories about stigmatized topics such as sex work, polyamory, or BDSM are only taken to publications with a reputation for covering the topics respectfully. I have personal experience in many of these areas as well, even acting as a local organizer to help some spaces operate more safely. I am physically located in Alberta, Canada, but many topics can be written about long-distance, so please don't hesitate to pass on a tip even if the story isn't located where I live. I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Whitby, Ontario. I believe that all counseling work engages with relationships, even if the focus is on the relationship we have with ourselves. By focusing on the meaningful connections in our lives, as well as the ways in which we have learned to engage with them, it gives us the power to see ourselves more clearly and the ability to make the changes we hope for. My therapeutic perspective is informed by an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, queer-, poly- and sex-positive framework. I work with clients to highlight their strengths and resistance to oppression and challenging life experiences and I hope to offer support, insight and a safer space in which to process, heal and grow.

Midwives are registered health care professionals who provide primary care to women during pregnancy labour and birth (including conducting normal vaginal deliveries) and continue until 6wks postpartum. Midwives provide safe personalized research-based care grounded by informed choice. We attend births in hospital or at home guided by the client's choice and professional protocols. Midwifery care is covered by MSP.
