My goal is to help you re-imagine your life, break patterns that are no longer serving you, and heal from past trauma.

Copper Lantern Therapy is a queer-owned practice, LGBTQIA+, Polyamorous and Kink-informed care is my specialty. While I won’t claim to know your personal experience, you don’t have to spend your session time teaching me the basics of your sexual identity.

My primary approach to counseling is the person-centered approach. This means I believe that no one knows you better than you do, and it is my job to help you identify goals, develop solutions and coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-esteem, and promote optimal mental health. You are in the driver’s seat, I am just a GPS to help you on the road to better mental health. It’s my job to help you to deal with your issues in a safe, non-judgmental environment, regardless if that environment is in person or via telehealth. More than one in six adults is living with some sort of mental illness and there should be no stigma in seeking help. 

I am eager to work with clients of all types and issues. I have strength with teen and adult ADHD. I also have a specific focus on sexual issues and sexual minorities, not just the LGBTQ+ community, but also those involved in ethical non-monogamy, kink, and other “non-traditional” relationships.

I specialize in trauma/PTSD and sexual health with an emphasis on working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, kink/BDSM communities, geek/nerd culture, and non-monogamy. I have experience with many evidence-based psychotherapies and take an integrative approach, working collaboratively to integrate these within an affirming interpersonal framework.

I'm an AASECT member pursuing Certified Sex Therapist (CST) licensure at Authentically You Counseling, a practice specializing in queer-affirming and trans-affirming care. My areas of focus include sexual trauma recovery, sexual anxieties, kink, BDSM, ENM, and religious trauma recovery.

I provide trauma-informed care to address a range of concerns, including anxiety, neurodivergence, self-esteem, body image, addictions, and challenges with boundaries and codependency. I specialize in working with teen and adult survivors of sexual abuse and relational violence, HSPs, and members of ENM, kink/BDSM, LGBTQ+, and sex work communities.
